CCA Town Hall Meeting

Title: CCA Town Hall Meeting
Location: Pipestone, MB
Description: A letter from Travis Toews, CCA President

Dear Fellow Beef Producer:

I’d like to invite you to attend the upcoming Canadian Cattlemen’s Association (CCA) Town Hall Meeting in Pipestone, MB.

The meeting will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2012 in conjunction with our provincial member, Manitoba Beef Producers (MBP). This event is the second in a series of town hall meetings that the CCA is proud to present across Canada in the coming years. Along with MBP President Ray Armbruster, I encourage you to attend and participate in this exciting opportunity.
The town hall meeting provides the opportunity to meet CCA executive and managers and hear the latest reports on the many activities the CCA is involved in on behalf of Canada’s 83,000 cattle producers. The meeting also provides the opportunity for producers to bring forward local issues of national concern.
The CCA Town Hall Meetings will provide updates on current foreign trade issues, the global outlook on beef production and the latest market analysis from Canfax. We’ll discuss the latest developments around traceability, provide an update on the Beef InfoXchange System (BIXS) and explain how research by the Beef Cattle Research Council (BCRC) improves our competitive position.

There will be opportunities to ask questions and network with others in the beef cattle industry.

Respectful of your time, the meeting will run from 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. CST and, through sponsorship from Farm Credit Canada, we are pleased to offer registrants a complimentary meal as well as a cash bar following the presentations. There is no fee to attend the town hall meeting but space is limited so we do require that you RSVP.

I encourage you to attend the upcoming CCA Town Hall Meeting at the Pipestone Community Hall and will look forward to seeing you there. Please RSVP online at www.cattle.ca/townhall or call 403-275-8558.

Sincerely,

Travis Toews
CCA President
